Characteristic of the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is the extra attention to beta and technique. We offer excellent students the opportunity to participate in BrainSport, an extracurricular program with guest lectures, practical assignments, excursions and floor assignments.
BrainSport Junior's lessons are partly about what it means to be smart, and the emphasis is on enrichment. The students will work on the Big History learning line; They are here exploring the history of the universe and humanity from the Big Bang to the present. This brings back all kinds of subjects that do not belong to the standard curriculum such as astronomy, philosophy and psychology. BrainSport Junior lessons take place during the school day; As a result, selected pupils miss one or two regular lessons weekly. Guest classes and excursions outside school are also organized. To select the right students for this programme, all junior students with a vwo advice are tested by the Center for Genius Research. Along with other data, such as an external study, we examine which junior students are invited to BrainSport Junior. The program runs from grade three to grade three and is controlled by our gifted coordinator.
Since 2012, for over-averagely interested or talented students, the top-class program BrainSport Senior has been available. In a preacademic learning environment, students get acquainted with applied science and special theories. The programme contributes to the development of research skills and deepening and broadening of knowledge in the field of beta.
