Fear reduction training
For long-term students, the school has long-term reduction trainers who in small groups provide the students with tools to deal with stress. Application is usually made at the request of the student himself and in consultation with or on the recommendation of the mentor or year-level coordinator. Help to deal with stress moments is available for all seasons. For graduation candidates there is a separate training experience with exam stress.
Planning and study skills meeting
For students who need additional support in planning and study skills in the preparation of test weeks it is possible to attend a separate meeting. During this meeting, students make a planning of the learning and attention is paid to the balance between effort and relaxation. Various study skills are also discussed.
STORM approach
In the South-East region of Brabant a cooperation has been established between schools GGD, youth aid, GGZ and municipalities. The aim of the cooperation is to quickly pick up and tackle signs of gloom among young people. STORM stands for Strong Teans and Resilient Minds. The STORM approach is a preventive programme aimed at stimulating the development of a positive self-image, resilience and resilience. The STORM approach consists of four interventions. At school, lessons on mental health are given. Mentors and teachers are trained in how to engage with students when they are not well in their skin. The GGD reduces questionnaires to detect depressive symptoms and suicidal thoughts in time. At school, the skill training "At full power" is offered by student guidance.
